Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is one–stop cultural workshop, consists of : performance venue, bamboo handicraft centre, and bamboo instrument workshop. Apart from that, SAU has an honorable function as an educational laboratory and training centre to preserve the Sundanese culture – Angklung in particular.

Founded in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati, with a view to preserve and maintain traditional Sundanese arts and culture.

The place is surrounded by bamboo trees, and its interior is dominantly decorated by bamboo.

Besides regular performances every evening, Saung Angklung Udjo also hold special shows in the morning or afternoon. Saung Angklung Udjo also performs in various places in Indonesia and abroad.

Saung Angklung Udjo also make and sell the range of products of traditional bamboo musical instruments ( angklung, aruma, calung and others).
